Ladies Ladies' Pennants 2014
We are desperate for more Pennant players. Why don't you and a friend or two put your name down for one of our teams? We will have to withdraw teams if we do not get some more players. This will be very embarrassing for NSGC as the draws have already been done. Please consider it, it helps your golf, you meet good, like-minded people and you are getting involved in our club.

Rules Question
Q. A player's ball is in a bunker. Some distance from the ball he shuffles his feet to establish the texture of the sand, then walks to his ball and plays his stroke. His opponent claims the hole. Is the claim a valid one?
A. Yes. The player breached Rule 13-4 because the action with his feet constitutes "testing the condition of the hazard". The player is only allowed to dig in with his feet when taking his stance for a stroke or a practice swing.
Remember that as the player is responsible for his caddie's actions, if a caddie similarly tests the condition, the player incurs the penalty.
A golf ball is like a clock. Always hit it at 6 o'clock and make it go toward 12 o'clock. But make sure you're in the same time zone. ~Chi Chi Rodriguez
